Timeless Motown legends Four Tops and The Temptations will be back in the UK in 2014 to relive the R&B and soul classics that delivered Detroit to music history.
Special guests joining the bill for these memorable shows will be The Platters and Freda Payne.
This event takes place at first direct arena, which has achieved Silver Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
The Four Tops have been wowing audiences with their infectious blend of pure vocal power and sweet harmonies since 1954. Since their first hit, Baby I Need Your Loving, in 1964 they have had a string of hits including Reach Out, I'll Be There, Standing In The Shadows Of Love, Bernadette, Walk Away Renee, I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch) and Loco In Acapulco amongst others. In 1989 they were inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame and are still bringing their melodious soul to enthused crowds the world over.

The Temptations are known for their seminal R&B and soul catalogue, their harmonies and their trademark choreographies. The Temptations were the first ever Motown artists to win a Grammy and are particularly remembered for classics My Girl and Papa Was A Rolling Stone.
Otis Williams remains the sole original member of The Temptations, still leading a carefully chosen/ever-revolving group of torchbearers around the globe for over a hundred shows a year to carry on the legacy of the world’s longest running singing group in the annals of R&B.

Who can forget Only You and The Great Pretender! Early rock’n’roll pioneers The Platters had Top 40 Billboard singles and 4 Number Ones between 1955 and 1967. They recorded just under 400 songs, sold well over 100 million records, performed in more than 91 countries and received more than 250 awards worldwide. They were inducted into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and 2014 marks the 60th anniversary of their international debut with ‘Only You’.

Singer and actress Freda Payne hit her musical peak in 1970 with Band of Gold, reaching a million copies sold and later re-recorded with Belinda Carlisle in 1986. A complete artist and a versatile vocalist, Freda’s career spans over four decades covering soul, R&B and jazz as well as movie and theatre roles.
