Moishe’s Bagel’s adrenaline-charged blend of Eastern European and jazz-inflected klezmer music makes a fantastic live score for Mikhail Kalatozov’s remarkable 1930 film Salt for Svanetia, showing the isolated Svan people of the Caucasus Mountains in north-west Georgia. A full set from the band is followed by the film.
