Vladimir Markov: Displays And Fictions

This afternoon event will examine Markov's writings, images and the context within which his remarkable work was achieved.

Speakers will be Irena Buzinska (Latvian National Museum of Art), discussing the photographic image and the portraits of sculpture in Markov's work, Jeremy Howard (University of St Andrews) describing the complex legacy of Markov's four publications on sculpture, and Heike Neumeister (Birmingham City University) setting his art and writing within the context of comparative authors and artists.
