Bouncers By John Godber
Lucky Eric, Judd, Les and Ralph are the original men in black as they tell the tale of one night in a Yorkshire disco in the 80's in this outrageous parody of Saturday Night Fever!
The play, a contemporary classic, has been performed all over the world in many different languages. In 2012 it was included in a new app produced by the V&A Museum entitled Played Ln Britain: Modern Theatre In 100 Plays 1945 – 2010.
John Godber is a BAFTA award-winning playwright from Upton, West Yorkshire. He is said to be the second most performed living playwright (Alan Ayckbourn is the first) in Britain.
Bouncers was first performed on 15th August 1977 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
