Tartuffe
Hailed as one of Molière’s most entertaining and enduring plays, "Tartuffe" is the comic story of a scheming hypocrite (Tartuffe) who, in order to steal his fortune, cons a rich merchant (Orgon) into believing he is a pious man. Thankfully, Orgon’s wife Elmire and their servant Dorine have enough good sense to see through Tartuffe’s religious charade. When Tartuffe attempts to seduce Elmire, the consequences are both hilarious and damning for Tartuffe’s scheme.
LADS' production uses a new modern language translation and adaptation by the director David Pollard.
