Mike Sanchez

Jesus Miguel 'Mike' Sanchez is one of the most exciting and charismatic performers of Rhythm and Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll in the world today.

His indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano has won him fans from all over the world and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends who have lined up to work with him (Robert Plant, Andy Fairweather Low, Albert Lee, Little Willie Littlefield, Champion Jack Dupree, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, Mick Fleetwood, Jeff Beck, Lowell Fulson, Carey Bell, Bill Wyman, Georgie Fame, Imelda May to name just a lot!).

In 1984 Sanchez joined the Big Town Playboys and for the following 15 years recorded and toured extensively. In 2001 Sanchez was invited to join Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings and in December 2007 was invited to appear as a guest vocalist at the final Led Zeppelin reunion when he performed alongside such soul legends as Ben E King, Percy Sledge and Sam Moore.

His bands’ performances continuously receive fabulous reviews throughout the blues and rockin’ scenes across the UK and Europe. Now residing in Avila, Spain his visits to the UK have in recent years become increasingly rare – especially to the north of England!
