Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo is to serve up a taste of Italy at theatres up and down the country when local foodies will have a chance to get up close and personal with the TV favourite. The famously fun-loving star of the kitchen has announced an autumn tour of Gino’s Italian Escape, a live stage show based on his ITV series, and he’ll be inviting plenty audience participation at every show while he demonstrates how to cook some of his favourite home-grown dishes from the series.

Viewers of his TV cookery shows will know to expect the unexpected from the Italian, who became a household name during his regular chef’s slot on ITV’s This Morning, where he once cooked naked, and won the viewers’ vote to take the crown in the 2009 series of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

“It will be a fantastico,” said Gino of his upcoming tour.. “Italy offers some of the most wonderful cooking and foods. I can’t wait to meet audiences on my first ever theatre tour and share some of the fantastic food on a journey around my great country.”

The chef, whose popular TV shows include Let’s Do Lunch with Melanie Sykes, intends to cook some signature dishes on his tour which coincides with a third outing of Gino’s Italian Escape which will air later this year, signalling another of his cookbooks of recipes which accompany each series.
