Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran appearing at this event

The Brit award-winning singer/songwriter from Suffolk who found fame by fusing traditional acoustic and folk melodies with hip hop beats, Sheeran has created an inimitable sound and built a massive legion of fans through his constant live gigging. Sheeran made chart history at the beginning of 2017 by being the only artist to debut two brand new singles in the top two positions, with 'Castle Of You' reaching no.2 and 'Shape Of You' reaching no.1 simultaneously, along with each individual track from his '÷' album entering the top 20 of the singles chart. He also achieved the prestigious UK Christmas no.1 spot in 2017 with 'Perfect', while the '÷' album had notched up sales of over 2 million by the end of 2017 and became the fastest-selling album by a UK male artist of all time.

The Darkness

The Darkness appearing at this event

The Darkness exploded into the public consciousness for both their unique brand of glammed-up rock and outrageous stage costumes when their debut album 'Permission To Land' shot to number one, spawning new rock anthems including 'Love Is Only A Feeling', 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' and 'Growing On Me'. It was also the fastest selling debut album by a British band in America since The Spice Girls. They also achieved the rare feat of releasing a modern Christmas single that continues to be played on radio every December. They have gone through a few line-up changes over the years, but they continue to rock, as ever with the flamboyant Justin Hawkins at the helm.

Passenger appearing at this event

The brainchild of Brighton born singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg. Formerly a five-piece band, Passenger has now pared back to basics, quite literally bringing music to the streets on a series of lengthy busking journeys across Australia, America and the United Kingdom. A classic journeyman musician, cut from the same mould as Van Morrison, Neil Young and John Prine, Passenger has the unique ability to move from the humorous to heartbreaking with every song.
