Comedian, compere and playwright. This grumpy old man per excellence presents the BBC Radio 4 show 'Excess Baggage' and has written four plays including 'An Evening With Gary Lineker' and 'Live Bed Show'.
His stand-up topics range from vigorous yodelling to mediaeval literature via death by drink. His delivery is relaxed and sardonic, but his shows are a surprising, dark and witty treat.
He's also one of the many 'Grumpy Old Men' that appear on BBC 2's hit show.
'The funniest and most honest comic of his generation' (The List).

Winner of ITV's Show Me The Funny, this half-Iranian, half-Middlesbrough comic is a rising star on the comedy circuit. Full of an insatiable lust for life, his exuberant comedy greets the audience like a sex-starved spaniel would greet a trouser leg.
In 2012 he took part in Let’s Dance for Sports Relief on BBC, won Best Newcomer at the Loaded LAFTA Awards and Forth Radio Best Stand-Up People’s Choice Award for his hit show ‘Hug Me I Feel Good’. He played the role of the dastardly Captain Hook in ‘The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan’ at the Worthing Pavilion from December 2016 to early Jan 2017.
A natural-born performer, he exudes charisma from the stage (and often off it, when he scuttles into the crowd...!)
'High energy and conviction, his material is great; he's going to go far' (The Sunday Times)
'Omid Djalili meets Dave Allen' (Daily Mail)
'Monahan possesses the rare ability to be hilarious without being outrageous' (Three Weeks)
'The same mix of control and on-stage charisma as a young Alan Davies' (The Herald)
'Monahan is a supremely engaging performer, adored by his audiences and capable of some terrific comedy' (The Scotsman).
Patrick Monahan was placed in Ents24's top 5 hardest-working comedians 2017 and 2016.

Stuart Mitchell made his comedy circuit debut in 2009 and very quickly has become one of the most exciting talents in recent years performing across the biggest comedy clubs in the UK. Stuart was a finalist in the NATYS competition in 2012 and was shortlisted in 2013 for the BBC New Comedy Award. Having recently appeared on “The Loser World Cup” for BBC Radio Wales and "On the Road" with BBC Scotland he is now working with BBC Comedy on a development project.
The Glaswegian comic’s sharp one-liners, brilliant turn of phrase and clever wordplay made him a perfect choice to support Stewart Francis and Hal Cruttenden on their national tours. He has also written for Mock the Week (BBC 1), BBC Radio Wales and other well know comedians.
