The Circle Of Chalk:

In the chaos of a city in revolution the deposed governor’s baby son is abandoned and found by a lowly servant. Unable to find the mother, the servant must protect the child by fleeing the city, meeting new dangers along the way and raising the child as her own.

Henry Raby uses the centuries old Chinese tale about a contested child’s future to explore contemporary issues such as displacement, nationhood, family, poverty and justice.

The Castle:

After graduating from university K is delighted to be offered an internship working for a Castle in a small, remote village. However, upon his arrival K finds that not everything is as it seems.

None of the village’s strange inhabitants have any record of his new position. Unable to leave K must attempt to gain entrance into the Castle to confront the sinister organisation who control the village and be able to move forward with his life.
