Conor Weedon: Faces

The Capitol in Horsham is currently exhibiting the remarkable work entitled Faces of talented, young artist Conor Weedon. Conor is an 18 year old artist who has been drawing portraits for 2 years.

Having won a West Sussex County Times Youth Award for Creative Arts last year, he was soon after featured in ETC magazine and is delighted to have the opportunity to showcase his work in The Capitol’s gallery this summer.

Conor is attracted by the precise nature of portrait work, where all of the detail has to be so accurate in order for the subject to remain recognisable. His favourite style of drawing is photo-realistic minimalism where once certain features are drawn, one’s mind can complete the remainder of the picture.
