“Acerbic perspective and unapologetic delivery” – The List
Featuring
Sindhu Vee
Sindhu Vee is most likely the tallest Indian woman you’ll ever meet. The daughter of Indian parents, a London-based mother, and bearer of half a PhD, it is rumoured but unverified, that Sindhu practised the dark arts of investment banking before making her parents proud by becoming a stand-up. She devotes all the time she has left over from raising her 3 children (and a bizarrely gigantic labrador) to comedy and suffering facial peels. She was a finalist in this year’s BBC New Comedy Award. Stand-up Sindhu delves into the funny side of family dysfunction in her hilarious, award-winning sketches. She has taken London, Edinburgh and Mumbai by storm.
