A Stitch In Time: Lost Knitting Songs From The World Wars
Knit One, Purl 1942
From the national outbreak of ‘knitting nerves’ to Lord Kitchener’s knitting invention, this concert tells the story of a very unique and quirky slice of history that spans both WWI and WWII.
Hosted by Melanie Gall, Canadian musician and knitting scholar, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some great nostalgic tunes whilst finishing that cardigan!
So feel free to bring your knitting (or crochet) and stitch along to over a dozen funny, poignant, toe-tapping, needle-clicking tunes.
“When I saw this show I was the only person in the audience not knitting, so bring yours along!” Sophie Fullerlove, Director
