Anita Henderson: Thresholds

Moody oil paintings and prints derived from specific moments of ‘film grammar’ found in continental movies such as ‘Weronika’, ‘The Three Colours’ trilogy, ‘Hell’ etc.. Henderson depicts points of decision – about relationships, careers or economic circumstances – made by film characters, almost always stood next to windows or doors and looking away from the viewer.
