Grayshott Folk Club presents: Police Dog Hogan
PLEASE NOTE WE NO LONGER HAVE PLACES FOR THIS EVENT
Friday 25th June 2021 @ 7.30pm
POLICE DOG HOGAN
Grayshott Social Club,
Surrey GU26 6HL
Dear Grayshott Folksters,
You may have been expecting to hear from me sooner after Monday’s disappointing announcement that we will not be moving to Stage 4 of the so-called “road map out of the pandemic” on 21st June 2021, as we had all hoped.
My initial response was to throw my hands in the air and abandon all hope of putting the gig on.
However, there are enough good people out there who are happy to dig in, go the extra mile and do all they can, to make this gig happen and Police Dog Hogan WILL be playing for us next Friday 25th June 2021 but we have had to change things up a bit and here’s how:
We have now moved this gig to:
Grayshott Social Club,
Surrey GU26 6HL.
Some of you came to our Covid-compliant gigs there last September/October.
As you may know, England has already moved to Stage 3 of the aforementioned “road map” so we can lawfully hold an indoor gig with limited numbers, as long as we do all the things that are asked of us. David Phillips, Chairman of Grayshott Social Club has found a way of seating an audience of 48 people that will be Covid-compliant.
In a nutshell, this is what is required in order to do this:
Rule of 6 (from multiple households) per table, or more if all are from only 2 households
No table interchanging or standing
Mask wearing while going to or from table and suggested during the performance
No singing or dancing
As we can only seat 48 people for each show, we have decided to put on TWO gigs on the SAME EVENING so that more of you can come along and so that it makes it worthwhile for the band. They will be working extra hard that night and will be travelling some way to get to Grayshott. There are also a lot of them.........as you may know.
We have now arranged two shows as follows:
Starts promptly at 6.45pm
Ends promptly at 8.00pm
The whole audience must leave in order for a thorough clean through of the Function Room.
Starts promptly at 8.45pm
Ends promptly at 10.00pm
If we do everything we have all got used to doing these past 15 months and maintain a cautious approach to socialising (regardless of how many jabs we may have had), we can keep the risk to everyone down to an absolute minimum.
I know that many of you have expressed an interest in coming along already but we need to confirm who is still interested, in view of the changes we have had to make.
It is clear that not everybody will be able to come to the same show and some people will inevitably be disappointed but if you could please contact me as soon as possible, by either by calling me on the number below or by e-mailing me, I will try and make sure we hold tickets for the show that you want to come to.

Police Dog Hogan
Police Dog Hogan are a high-energy and eclectic seven-piece, combining fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bass, drums and guitars with four-part harmonies in a mix of country, pop, folk, and rocking urban bluegrass. Their songs range from the wistful and poetic to out-and-out, foot-stomping tales of doomed barbecues, French mustard and falling in love on a Tennessee highway. '...a really good, fun time' (DJ Johnnie Walker).
