Tez Ilyas
A mischievous and engaging comic, he tackles a variety of topics with an intelligent mind and a flair for deconstructing modern society while subverting audience's expectations. His playful style and cheeky personality, along with a wry wit led him to win the coveted London Comedy Store's King Gong on his first attempt, as well as reaching the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards. Star of BBC Radio 4’s TEZ Talks, BBC Two’s 'Live from the BBC' and BBC Three’s ‘Man Like Mobeen’. Nabil Abdulrashid
Nabil Abdulrashid is an award-winning comedian, writer, presenter and actor. Nabil was a finalist in the 2020 series of Britain’s Got Talent, awarded the ‘Golden Buzzer’ by judge Alesha Dixon for his “edgy, charismatic style.” The Sunday Telegraph described his finalists’ performance as “urgent, uncompromising and refreshingly radical fare, smartly woven into a gag-packed set.” Before BGT, Nabil had already established a successful and varied career in UK and international comedy. He wrote, directed, and starred in his own sketch show on Channel U within his first year of performing, triumphed in the in the ‘Which Religion Is Funniest?’ competition, and was the youngest ever black stand-up to perform at London’s prestigious Hammersmith Apollo. Nabil was a finalist in the New Act of The Year and Laughing Horse stand-up comedy competitions. He won Joe.co.uk’s TV Comedian of the Year award in 2020. Nabil’s stand-up, incorporating multiple languages and humorous commentary on global politics and multiculturalism, has secured him an international following. He has sold out shows in several countries, including Tanzania, South Africa, Dubai (headlining the Dubai National Opera’s first-ever stand-up show), Holland, Austria, and Belgium. One of Nabil’s BRAP (Black Racist And Proud) tour performances was named one of The Guardian’s 10 Best Comedy Shows of 2020. His most recent show, N.A.B.I.L. Anuvab Pal
The New York Times calls Anuvab Pal ‘India’s most intelligent comedian’. The BBC calls him India’s answer to British wit. His stand-up comedy special The Nation Wants To Know, has played over 500 sold out shows from Mumbai to Sydney to San Francisco. His current show, Empire, a comedy show based on the history of the British Empire in India, has played in 12 cities worldwide and been called “Spectacular” by CNN and “A laugh riot with brilliant ideas” by NDTV. Anuvab is the only Indian stand-up comedian after Russel Peters to sell out The Gotham Comedy Club in New York in record time. He’s also the only Indian comedian invited to perform at Harvard University.
