Remembering Sandy Taylor
Relax and enjoy chamber jazz of the highest quality as award-winning pianist/composer Euan Stevenson (Emerging Artist Scottish Jazz Awards 2013) hosts another season of Sunday Jazz at the Tron.
Raconteur, wit, and the best jazz pianist in the room; any room. Sandy Taylor was a man who flew in WW2 and helped Carol Kidd gain international attention as her accompanist.
Sandy passed away in 2015 aged 92, he left a legion of fans who adored his impeccable playing, but he also left behind two protégés who give tribute to his life and his music; saxophonist Laura MacDonald and singer and broadcaster Stephen Duffy. Featuring long time associate guitarist Stephen Coutts and pianist Euan Stevenson, expect laughter, a few tears and some very fine music.
