With his first album in eight years, 2017’s Swimming in Mercury, Boo Hewerdine made it well worth the wait. Setting reflective, retrospective lyrics from the 60s to the 80s, the record’s vibrantly melodic songs were recorded with a full band and lush, widescreen production, evoking sounds.
