An Evening With Malala

Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai, who was shot by the Taliban as while traveling to school in Pakistan is coming to Glasgow.

Malala will talk about her life and experiences during a rare appearance at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow on August 10th 2016.

Malala was 15-years-old when she was shot by the Taliban while travelling home from school with friends in Swat Valley, Pakistan.

The teenager made a remarkable recovery after receiving treatment in Birmingham and at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.

The international best-selling author, who lives in Birmingham with her family, is now an advocate for education world-wide and became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, alongside Indian child rights campaigner Kailash Satyarthi.

In 2013, she was named one of ‘The 100 Most Influential People in the World’ by Time magazine in 2013 and was also the subject of a documentary by American filmmaker Davis Guggenheim in 2015.
