Yugen Puppet Theatre

Fingal is seeking his fortune when his tired old horse is replaced by a magic one. The Magic Horse takes him on an adventure to meet a Prince who then sends him on a number of quests to win the heart of a Princess. But who will win her love in the end? And what will become of the magic horse?

In this story telling show with audience involvement, performed in a vivid and colourful cloth setting of patchwork trees, fields and sky, children become courtiers, mountains and magnificent castles. Puppets move through human forests, snapping crocodile waters behind on ever-changing shadow back drop.

Yugen Puppet Company was set up in 1997 to re-tell Scottish Fairy tales. Scotland has such a rich heritage of wonderful stories to share with audiences at home and further afield.
