Plug 6: Lucy Hollingworth’s The Poetess’
The Poetess rediscovers and reimagines a piece for music theatre that the composer Lucy Hollingworth wrote in 1983 but which has never been performed.
It examines the struggle of a female poet in the mid-twentieth century who strives to escape from the roles society tries to force her into, in order to live her creative life to the full.
