Hidden Acoustics
A small child runs under a bridge in Kelvin Grove Park screaming and laughing with joy at the echo of their screams. Acoustics are not just for auditoriums but fill our cities with sound, vibrations and joy. Using the city as her auditorium violinist Sandie Bishop will seek out six found acoustically excellent or unusual sites across the city, be they under bridges, in court yards next to museums, down hidden alleys, in the East, West, North or South and in each site perform one of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin.
The audience are asked to meet at the specified location and we will take you to the site so you can discover the acoustics with Sandie.
Performance last approximately 40mins.
Please dress for the weather.
Contact us in advance if you have access requirements.
