Folkworks: Varldens Band Workshops

An afternoon of workshops offering a range of choices working with the energetic and multi talented Varldens Band members.

Workshop choices are French Dance Tunes, Scandinavian and Balkan Tunes, Indian Singing, Senegalese Singing and Rhythm and Accompaniment. Tune workshops are open to all acoustic instruments and players of all standards, except absolute beginners. Singing workshops are open to everyone. Rhythm and Accompaniment is aimed at instrumentalists who play rhythm, chords and basslines – and all handheld percussions are welcome.

There is a combined concert and workshop ticket available and there will be a playing session in Gateshead Old Town Hall’s cafe between the workshops and concert.
