About the show

Crystal Tides are an electrifying indie rock band from the coastal city of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. Formed in the vibrant music scene of this historic naval town, the band has quickly captivated audiences with their catchy melodies, lively performances, and heartfelt lyrics. With multiple sold-out shows and successful UK tours under their belt, Crystal Tides have established themselves as one of the most exciting rising forces in the UK indie landscape.

Following the success of their 2024 EP The Middle, Crystal Tides now step into a defining new chapter with the release of their long-awaited debut album Toothpaste, and their biggest headline tour to date in 2026. The band sold out Portsmouth Guildhall in just six days and are set to take Toothpaste to fans across the UK with a high-energy, emotionally charged live show.

Their rise has been amplified by significant support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and Virgin Radio UK, alongside playlist placements across Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. Their tracks have also featured in hit TV shows including Waterloo Road, Made in Chelsea and This Morning, and they’ve appeared on BBC 5 Live, ITV News, and BBC South Today.

Crystal Tides’ growing presence in national radio continues to surge, with Alyx Holcombe (BBC Radio 1) praising the band saying “It’s really giving alt-indie meets pop, this is Down”.
