In present day North London four impoverished young artists do what they can to get by in a degenerate world. One moonlit night a chance encounter will change their lives forever, but sometimes even true love is not powerful enough for a fairytale ending. Puccini's masterpiece speaks as clearly now as it did over 100 years ago. With laughter and tears in equal measure this opera epitomises life, love and loss.
