About The World's End
The third film in Edgar Wright's 'Blood And Ice Cream' trilogy, following the gory, Cornetto-featuring horror comedy Shaun Of The Dead and the action spoof Hot Fuzz. Five former friends meet up in their old home town. The laddish and unpleasant Gary (Simon Pegg) is eager to complete the pub crawl that thwarted them twenty years earlier; he is starting to realise his best years may be behind him and his attempts at camaraderie fall flat against his more grown-up colleagues. With proper jobs and long-term relationships Andy (Nick Frost), Oliver (Martin Freeman), Steven (Paddy Considine) and Peter (Eddie Marsan) feel a little uneasy visiting the pubs of their youth. But when the group are bizarrely ambushed in the gents' loos they uncover an otherworldly plot.
