About The Wolverine
Taking place after X-Men 3 but largely ignoring the previous, poorly received stand-alone Wolverine film, this sees everyone’s favourite grumpy, adamantium-clawed mutant experiencing a long dark teatime of the soul. Logan, or Wolverine as he is better known, is tired of being a kick-ass immortal warrior. Having been alive for over a hundred years and seen countless friends suffer and die, he considers turning his back on the X-Men. A woman (Rila Fukushima) approaches him about visiting her employer in Japan and he is offered a possible solution to his eternal torment. But Logan’s terse ways don’t go down too well and he may still need his claws when he clashes with the Yakuza. Based on the Chris Claremont/Frank Miller miniseries.
