About The Stone Roses: Made Of Stone
A documentary about the greatest indie band to come from the 'Madchester' scene. After releasing their critically acclaimed debut album in 1989 and then appearing on Top Of The Pops, they became the stars of the indie scene and their classic singles 'She Bangs The Drums' and 'Fools Gold' were part of the soundtrack for a generation. Amidst interpersonal strife and a mixed reaction to their second album the band split acrimoniously in the mid '90s. Fifteen years of bitterness led to a glimmer of hope and the band reformed in 2012. Here they are captured as they rehearse for their much-anticipated, record-breaking reunion gigs in their hometown. Incorporating never-before-seen footage that spans the band's chaotic and influential history, this film tells the story of a group of Britain's greatest musical heroes, with contributions from both the band members and their many fans.
