About The Campaign

Oily, smug politician Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) thinks he has no worries when it comes to getting re-elected as congressman in his small North Carolina district. He's run unopposed for the past four terms and pleases his constituents with nonsensical slogans like 'America. Jesus. Freedom.' But when he ruins his reputation with a sex scandal, two nefarious businessmen (Dan Ackroyd and John Lithgow) see an opportunity to displace him. They persuade naïve tourism director Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis) to enter the next election as a rival candidate. The unassuming family man is given a makeover by a suave campaign manager (Dylan McDermott) and Cam realises that the competition will be tougher than he thought. Their underhanded tactics involving baby punching, labradors and snakes might seem outlandish, until you consider the history of politics.
