About Supermensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon
In his directorial debut, comedic actor Mike Myers (Wayne’s World, Austin Powers) documents the fascinating career of Hollywood insider Shep Gordon. In the 1970s, Shep fell into music management by chance after moving to LA as a young man and befriending Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. Shep managed rock stars such as Pink Floyd, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Blondie and Alice Cooper, and later went on to manage chefs such as Emeril Lagasse, helping to monetise their talents and create the trend for celebrity chef shows on television. Over the years Shep transformed from a hedonist into a practising Buddhist, and his colourful journey is recounted by many famous friends including Michael Douglas, Willie Nelson and Sylvester Stallone.
