About Summer In February
A romantic drama overflowing with stunning coastal scenery, top-notch costumes and beautiful young people. Many members of the bohemian Lamorna Group went on to be regarded as brilliant artists but in 1913 they were simply a group of young people struggling against the bonds of societal restraint. Florence Carter-Wood (Emily Browning) arrives at the artists' colony in Cornwall, hoping to improve her painting skills. She meets two very different men: the brash, arrogant painter AJ Munnings (Dominic Cooper) and the shy soldier-turned-land-agent Gilbert Evans (Dan Stevens). Both are quite taken with Florence but she eventually chooses AJ as he is charismatic and exciting. However, once they are married she realises that she may have made a mistake in hitching her wagon to such a mercurial star.
