About Song For Marion

A heartwarming comedy in the vein of 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' and 'Calendar Girls'. Crotchety pensioner Arthur (Terence Stamp) is very different from his cheerful wife Marion (Vanessa Redgrave). He does not share her love of singing and rolls his eyes at her performances with the ragtag local choir The OAPZ, whose enthusiastic young leader Elizabeth (Gemma Arterton) encourages Marion and her friends to jazz up music of all genres. Marion, who is terminally ill, struggles to make it to practice every week and Arthur tries his best to help her. As her condition worsens Arthur finds himself drawn into the group and with a big competition looming he might have to stop complaining and sing. He also hopes to improve his difficult relationship with his son (Christopher Eccleston).
