Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn star as Emily and Linda, a polar-opposite mother and daughter reluctantly holidaying in Ecuador. When boozy and impulsive Emily gets dumped by her boyfriend one day before their exotic trip to paradise, she persuades her cautious cat-lady mother, Linda to take the holiday with her. As they stumble from one wacky scenario to the next, there are some genuinely funny moments, and Schumer and Hawn work well together as a comedy duo. While the film is a good laugh, it is at times cringingly culturally insensitive, and never really builds enough dramatic force or comic energy to craft a full movie from the results.
