About Sister (L'enfant D'en Haut)

Simon (Kacey Mottet Klein) is a crafty young boy living on the edge of society. He regularly steals supplies from an affluent ski lodge before selling them on, reasoning that the lodge's rich customers will just buy new things. Their complacence allows him to keep getting away robbing the same place. In contrast, Simon lives with his dissolute older sister Louise (Léa Seydoux) in a dingy tower block nearby. Or, more accurately, she lives off him. Beyond the immediate danger of being caught at the ski lodge, Simon worries about Louise's temper and her tendency to date unsuitable men. It seems that external forces are going to ruin Simon's fragile equilibrium; a caring foreigner (Gillian Anderson) who is holidaying at the lodge shows some rare compassion, while Simon's working relationship with a staff member (Martin Compston) isn't as solid as he hoped.
