About Seven Psychopaths
The writer and director of the darkly funny In Bruges is reunited with his star Colin Farrell for an L.A set comedy filled with oddball characters, including Tom Waits, the Patron Saint of Oddballs. Marty (Farrell) is a struggling, hard-drinking writer who despairs of ever finishing his screenplay, "Seven Psychopaths". Billy (Sam Rockwell), Marty's best friend, is incredibly loyal but he's also an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, so his offer of assistance promises to exacerbate rather than solve Marty's problems. He suggests that Marty should reach out to real psychopaths for inspiration, including a serial killer who kills other killers (Waits) and a volatile but sensitive gangster (Woody Harrelson). But when Billy and his zany partner Hans (Christopher Walken) kidnap the gangster's beloved Shih Tzu, they take on more than they can handle, and Marty is right in the middle.
