A frothy romantic comedy with production design and costuming that's as good-looking as its leads. 21-year-old Rose (Deborah Francois) seems destined for the quiet life. Helping her grumpy father run a village shop in 1950s rural Normandy, she is engaged to the son of a mechanic and nothing much happens to her. When she applies for a job as a secretary for an insurance company, her interview is a disaster. But Rose soon reveals a hidden talent to the office's dapper boss Louis (Romain Duris): she can type incredibly quickly. Despite her flaws in other areas, she is hired and Louis starts to train her for typing competitions. While being mentored Rose develops feelings for Louis, but he still pines for his childhood sweetheart (Berenice Bejo).
