About Kiss The Water
A documentary that finds a fascinating kind of poetry in its unlikely, esoteric subject. Megan Boyd was a woman living in a secluded area of the Scottish Highlands who taught herself how to make fishing flies and found success due to her dedicated craftsmanship. Boyd received an OBE from Prince Charles (who was also one of her devoted customers) and is recognised in the fly fishing community as an artist of immense talent capable of creating beautiful objects. Her contribution to the sport is unparalleled and enthusiasts enjoy recreating her painstaking, traditional methods, yet she remains unknown in the wider world. A mixture of interviews, beautiful landscape photography and animation gives a lyrical, entertaining look at her life and work.
