About Katy Perry: Part Of Me

A musical documentary about the career of retro-styled, all-American pop siren Katy Perry. Ever since bursting onto the scene with her cheeky hit single 'I Kissed A Girl', Perry has skirted the line between raunch and wholesome fun and this film is definitely for those who prefer her Hello-Kitty-cute side. It follows her over the course of her year-long world tour in 2011 and shows off her remarkable natural talent as well as her taste for eye-popping outfits. There are moments of exhaustion and sadness, especially when she learns from then-husband Russell Brand that their marriage is over. But mostly this tells the story of Katy's rise to record-breaking star, with some spectacular musical set pieces and heartfelt meetings with her young fans along the way.
