Another Jason Statham beat-'em-up with a bit of drama in between the blows. Writer/director Steven Knight also wrote Eastern Promises, which showed the tarnished, ruthless underworld of London and Statham's character Joey is drawn into a similar atmosphere. He begins the film as a traumatised down-and-out but it isn't long before he's back doing what he does best. After touring Afghanistan as a Royal Marine, Joey is now a homeless veteran. When he is attacked in the street he flees to an empty flat. Realising that its occupant will be absent for a while, he assumes the man's identity and transforms himself from hobo to enforcer. In an attempt to keep his integrity he befriends a nun (Agata Buzek) who works with the vulnerable. But London's criminal element has their eye on him.
