About Chernobyl Diaries
A group of six young holidaymakers in Ukraine make the unwise decision to go off the beaten path and hire an 'extreme' tour guide (there's a lesson here: package holidays are safer). He offers to take them to Pripyat, an abandoned workers' town near the site of the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown. After the disaster in 1986, the residents left everything behind and the town's once orderly homes and municipal buildings are now empty and decaying. The gang decide that they want to gawk at this macabre spectacle. When they are denied entry at a military checkpoint, Uri sneaks them in anyway. Wouldn't you know, it turns out the place isn't so deserted after all, and soon the idiotic group have their only vehicle sabotaged before being attacked by unknown assailants. They should've gone to Ibiza like everybody else!
