About Carrie (2013)
A remake of Brian DePalma's classic horror. Carrie (Chloe Grace Moretz) is a shy girl who has had an extremely sheltered upbringing due to the fanatical religious beliefs of her mother (Julianne Moore). Already an outcast, Carrie has also been excluded from the usual teenage rites of passage and knows little about puberty or her own body, so she is horrified when she gets her first period at school. She becomes hysterical and thinks there is something wrong with her. Led by the cruel, popular Chris (Portia Doubleday) the other girls torment Carrie further and film her distress. Sue (Gabriella Wilde) feels bad and attempts to befriend Carrie. But when she encourages her to go to the upcoming prom, Carrie's angst manifests itself with deadly supernatural force.
