About Blue Is The Warmest Colour

A winner at Cannes that generated controversy for its explicit sexual content and acclaim for the astoundingly naturalistic and heartfelt performances from its lead actresses. Pretty, bright teenager Adele (Adèle Exarchopoulos) is keen to learn more about the world and curious to absorb new experiences. Through her growing interest in the works of Sartre and burgeoning sense of sexual power, Adele is finding her feet and discovering who she wants to be. When she sees blue-haired Emma (Léa Seydoux), an art student who is slightly older, in the street one day and then later in a bar, Adele has strong pangs of passion and curiosity. She and Emma start dating and go through the trials of first love.
