About Bad Grandpa
Years after his heyday, Johnny Knoxville (of the immature prankster collective Jackass) is back with a film based around one of his signature characters, Irving Zisman, an irresponsible old man played by Knoxville wearing lots of proesthetics and a cardigan. The story goes that Irving needs to take his eight-year-old grandson Billy (Jackson Nicholl) across America to deliver him to his father. But Irving isn't the best of guardians for the young and impressionable Billy, and the pair delight in committing outrageous acts in front of onlookers while cameras film their reactions. Using his apparent age and infirmity as a kind of shield, Irving disrupts weddings and wakes while Billy gleefully looks on. He also teaches Billy to question random women as to their 'stripper names' and incurs the wrath of beauty pageant attendees.
