About Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry

Ai Weiwei is China's most famous international artist, having helped design the Bird's Nest Stadium for the Olympics in 2008 and had his work displayed at galleries all over the world, including the Tate Modern. He is also an outspoken critic of the Chinese government. For expressing dissident views that most of us in Britain would take for granted, Chinese authorities have gone to extraordinary lengths to silence him. He has been beaten up and imprisoned for three months, and had his blog shut down and studio bulldozed. Journalist Alison Klayman gained unprecedented access to him and his family members as he prepared his Sunflower Seeds work, and her footage gained resonance when he was imprisoned. She provides a detailed portrait of a compelling public figure, creative talent and father.
