The Village Storytelling Festival is Scotland's most innovative and participative storytelling festival. Featuring exhibitions, films, music, performances, and, of course, cutting-edge storytelling from some of the most exciting storytellers performing today, including Debs Newbold, Daniel Morden, Clare Muireann Murphy and Ben Haggarty. Experience a steampunk Frankenstein, enter the visual world of Glasgow Deaf Asian Club, question the narratives of gender roles, sexuality and place within the Provocations series of events, and witness a brand new commission by Sònia Gardes.

The children’s programme, a new part of the festival, will welcome Granny Island’s Ceilidh with Katie Morag author Mairi Hedderwick. There is also a symposium with workshops, discussion sessions and the chance to think about what storytelling means to you.
