The Real Thing

The UK's own disco pioneers The Real Thing still whip up the crowds from the minute they hit the stage. Following the sad passing of Eddy Amoo, his brother Chris and Dave Smith have decided to continue as a duo backed by The Real Thing band. Return to the glory days of dance music with the real music legends in a soulsational evening of non-stop, live dancefloor anthems including You to Me Are Everything, Can't Get By Without You and Can You Feel the Force. Backed by their critically acclaimed band, one of The Real Thing's original frontmen, Chris Amoo plus Dave Smith, revive the sensational 70s and 80s, performing all of the UK's most successful soul group's formidable repertoire. Rainin' Through the Sunshine, So Much Love to Give and Love's Such a Wonderful Thing give way to the classic Children of the Ghetto famously covered by Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire. Also featuring a specially composed tribute to the biggest dance hits of their era, including Ladies Night, Ain't No Stopping us Now and Celebration, prepare to use up and wear out the dancefloor one last time! " ... these guys are pure class, and really hold up their songs vocally, even after all these years" - Clair Woodward, Sunday Express

Odyssey

Odyssey's UK top 10 classic hits include Native New Yorker, Use It Up And Wear It Out, Looking For A Way Out, Inside Out and Going Back To My Roots as well as the rare groove soul anthem Don't Tell Me Tell Her. Now fronted by original member Steven Collazo, musical director and son of the founding lead vocalist Lillian Lopez, their fusion of soul, pop, dance, jazz, funk and latin-caribbean rhythms continue to make them popular around the world. In the great tradition that has made them famous, Odyssey's new releases carry their classic sound forward as "old school meets new school meets old school".

Gwen Dickey

Seventies soul diva and voice of Rose Royce is still 'Wishing On A Star' at the 'Car Wash'. Gwen left Rose Royce in 1980 and ever since has been performing as a solo artist around the UK. She has also worked with Jay-Z in 1998 on his own composition called 'Wishing On A Star', featuring Gwen who re-recorded some of her original lyrics. Meanwhile the classic songs have been covered in recent years, including Mary J. Blige ('I’m Going Down'), Faith Evans ('Love Don’t Live Here Anymore'), Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliott ('Car Wash'), proof that Gwen's material has injured by today's artists.
