Born into a legacy of music, Cedric Burnside is the son of drummer Calvin Jackson and the grandson of R.L. Burnside. He was born in Memphis, TN but raised in the country hills of MS by R. L Burnside, also known as 'Big Daddy', and MS Hill Country Blues. Cedric began his music career at an early age, teaching himself to play drums and then touring with R.L Burnside at the age of 13. Throughout his teenage years, Cedric Burnside continued to perfect his skills on the drums. He learned to play several different styles of music playing with Kenny Brown, T-Model Ford, Paul Wine Jones, Robert Cage, JR Kimbrough, Robert Belford, Othar Turner, and Jessie Mae Hemphill. Through this experience, Cedric gained wisdom not only about music but about life beyond his years, and he developed his own unique style of playing music. Cedric Burnside’s hard work and passion for music propelled him to being a sought-out drummer as he has shared the stage with renowned artists North Mississippi Allstars, Widespread Panic, Bighead Tod and the Monsters, Bernard Allison, Jimmy Buffett, Bobby Rush, Honey Boy Edwards, Hubert Sumlin, Galactic, and Black Joe Lewis. As seven-time BMA best drummer of the year, Cedric Burnside is widely known as one of the best drummers in the world. He has two BMA best album of the year awards, and his most recent album, ‘Descendants of Hill Country’ received a Grammy nomination for best blues album of the year in 2015.

Dale Watson & His Lone Stars
Dale Watson is what country music should be: authentic, legitimate and with a bona fide heart. Dubbed 'a honky tonk purist' and a 'leading country light', Watson is a Grand Ol' Opry favorite and has a devoted following in the U.S. and Europe. Willie Nelson is one of Dale's biggest fans.

Three times winner of the British Best Harmonica Player of the Year Blues Awards, Errol Linton is a harmonica wizard from Brixton (of Jamaican descent), a singer, a songwriter, a painter and the hero of the London Underground, where he played his unique and highly original blend of blues with hints of reggae for 20 years! Following the release of his critically acclaimed 3rd album, Mama Said in 2011, his songs can now be heard on national and regional BBC radio and Jazz FM. Brixton born and bred, Errol funded the production costs for his latest album from busking for over 15 years and blends Chicago style blues with his Jamaican and London roots. But he's playing much bigger gigs now and has supported Dr John and Screaming Jay Hawkins.

New York singer-songwriter Sunny Ozell learned music’s time-honored traditions inside and out by not only receiving classical voice training as a young child, but also simultaneously pawing through her dad’s extensive vinyl collection - which included everything from Janis Joplin and The Moody Blues to Fleetwood Mac and Buffy Sainte-Marie. She plays a mix of soul, blues, country, Americana, and pop.

Birds Of Chicago
Birds of Chicago, is a collective based around JT Nero and Allison Russell. Whether touring as a duo or with the full family band, Nero and Russell have emerged as two of the most compelling new voices in North American Roots music. Nero’s fractured country-soul voice wrapped in Russell’s silver and gold tones is a fine thing. Not too perfect, not at all saccharine, you’ll hear echoes of mountain gospel, street corner doo-wop, classic soul. Accompanied by just a banjo and a guitar, it’s chilling. Fired by a full band, it’s a full tilt revival.

Carson McHone, a songwriter from Austin, Texas, “writes songs like her life depends on it” (Ray Wylie Hubbard), bringing an intelligence to alt-country that is both immediate and lyrical. Dark, driving and evocative, her music shines a light not only on McHone's honky-tonk roots, but on her development as a modern, alt-country storyteller, pushing traditional sounds and themes into a modern context. She's inspired by diverse sources like Dylan, the Velvet Underground, and American novelist Thomas Wolfe, unconcerned with flying the flag of old-school country. She wears her eclecticism proudly, with McHone singing each song in a voice that is worldly-wise and woozily gorgeous.

Wookalily are quirky, in a good way. Folk-gothic troubadour tales, new-time mountain music, glorious melodic hooks and a drum kit which guarantees purists cover their ears. Five women (Adele, Sharon, Lyndsay, Lou and Clair): too girly to be a beat group, too funky to be a folk group, too good to miss.

William The Conqueror
A character, a mythology, the flicker of a younger self, William the Conqueror is many things, but in simplest terms it is the name of a band put together by songwriter Ruarri Joseph, alongside his close musical conspirators Harry Harding (drums) and Naomi Holmes (bass). The trio have been picking up praise from far flung corners ever since Joseph took the step to go public with his erstwhile secret alter-ego, their shows steadily winning over fans up and down the country. The band’s new album Bleeding on the Soundtrack will be released on Loose on 15th February 2019 and can be pre ordered here - smarturl.it/bleedingonthesoundtr 'Looking For The Cure' is one of three singles already released from the album and you can check out the official music video here. Produced by Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams, White Denim, Laura Marling) at Peter Gabriel’s iconic Real World Studios, it is the second instalment of William’s story following on from debut album, Proud Disturber of the Peace, released in 2017 to widespread critical acclaim. The indie-rock three piece channel classic blues and roots rock through a grunge/indie filter, with diverse influences including The Doors, Ryan Adams and The Lemonheads. Praised for their grit and authenticity by the likes of The Guardian and NPR’s Ann Powers, they signed to Loose, joining a roster that includes Courtney Marie Andrews, Israel Nash, The Handsome Family and Treetop Flyers. Praise for their live performances has drawn wildly enthusiastic comparisons to the likes of Kings of Leon, Nirvana, Buffalo Tom and The Marshall Tucker Band. William the Conqueror play AmericanaFestUK on 30th January and a series of UK in-stores in February including Rough Trade East, London on 21st February. The trio then embark on an extensive UK tour in the spring which includes a headline date at The Lexington, London on 21st May. “a mighty launchpad for what's yet to come” Q "a thumping Southern rock and Americana grungy gumbo that hits you right between the eyes” Express “the kind of determination that can only end in glory” Gigsoup 8/10

'Texas-born songwriter, Jarrod Dickenson's slightly spooky melodies and lyrics invoke a mid-Western post-war America, when cars ran on leaded gas, television hadn't yet kidnapped the country's imagination, and men wore hats every day. His reflective lyrics, almost like hand-written letters, remind us that human stories of lost love, sudden fortune, and abiding mystery transcend the decades.'

If there's a lot of half-finished, semi-fulfilled, vaguely unsatisfying music around these days - songs that say nothing to you about your life - then maybe it's because the people who make it haven't lived much of a life themselves. Not so in the case of Robert Vincent, the searingly honest Liverpool singer-songwriter whose mix of folk, rock and country is like a Mersey Van Morrison or a Scouse Springsteen.
