London’s only three-stage, two-day festival dedicated to experimental and post-whatever music returns!
Returning to the famous Tufnell Park Dome and Boston Music Room for a third year, and continuing last year’s hugely successful addition of a third stage over the road at Aces & Eights bar, Portals Festival continues to be not only the best music weekend London has to offer, but also the best bang for your buck while we’re at it!
At the Dome and BMR, the two indoor live music spaces are connected by a delightful beer garden which as-ever will feature delicious food from a friendly food trader with a menu to suit all tastes & requirements.
Meanwhile over the road, Aces & Eights serves excellent freshly made pizzas and always has great beers on tap, and down in the rabbit warren of it’s basement lies Portals’ worst-kept-secret – an always-packed, first-come-best-view third stage at which you’re all but guaranteed to discover your new favourite band – better get there early!
Overall, the festival has a homely vibe; a mini sanctuary for experimental music within touching distance of the frantic hubbub of Central London, easily connected via buses and the Northern Line’s night tube service.
With alternating stages, there’s literally always something on. Saturday night is party time and with a late curfew it means that live bands will continue until midnight, followed by DJs to keep the festival going until late.
