Featuring

The Cure

The Cure appearing at this event

The etheral wailings of Robert Smith set amongst layer upon layer of dark, melancholic guitars, edgey atmospherics and occasional pop wanderings all make up the unmistakable ingredients of The Cure. Whether they're wandering down Fascination Street or in love on a Friday, The Cure remain unmissable.

Robyn

Robyn appearing at this event

Swedish pint-sized pop star, Robyn brings a different type of pop music to the table. Writing about the journey from adolescence into adult life and the trials and tribulations of being young, Robyn's songs are classic pop. She ended her hiatus in October 2018 with the unexpected release of her eighth studio album 'Honey'.

Jonathan Wilson

Jonathan Wilson appearing at this event

Songwriter, musician and producer Jonathan Wilson delivers warm, supple melodies etched in layers of stringed instruments and willowy organ motifs accompany his earnest, North Carolinian drawl as he tells tales of humane values lost and found. Wilson’s music is steeped equally in the woodsy contours of his Blue Ridge experiences and the atmospheric guitar reveries of Neil Young and Quicksilver Messenger Service. In fact, debut album “Gentle Spirit” is remarkably evocative of that golden late ‘60s, early ‘70s period when rural and urban sensibilities colluded in producing some of rock’s most imperishable recordings.

Mitski

Mitski appearing at this event

Japanse-American alternative indie singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, NYC. Her lo-fi guitar anthems cover the complex lyrical themes of longing, love, depression, alienation, and racial identity. Comparisons have ranged from Angel Olsen and St. Vincent to Weezer’s 'Pinkerton' album, while The Guardian described her as "Bright Eyes-esque confessional folk, riot grrrl and the quiet-loud dynamics of the Pixies."

Cult Of Luna

Cult Of Luna appearing at this event

Klas Rydberg and Johannes Persson of the now deceased hardcore combo, Eclipse, formed Cult of Luna in 1999 in the interests of broadening their horizons to encompass a more emotionally expressive, raw and heavy brand of music. In the following years, Cult of Luna gained critical acclaim and an international touring habit, travelling along an upward curve to bring their cynically brooding sound ever further afield.

IDLES

IDLES appearing at this event

IDLES are a heavy post-punk band from Bristol. They want to entertain and hurt in equal measure. They believe that art and violence work. Their spirit colour is coral pink. One of them loves queuing, one struggles counting, one has been arrested 8 times, one doesn't like music and one puts sausage rolls on his pizza! 'IDLES are hard to capture, because they're not Fat White Family, they're not Sleaford Mods, they are very much their own incarnation of uncompromising rhythmical punk rock. Lyrically, a mixture of dry obsessional humour and poetic slogans. But, best of all, they really get the adrenaline pumping' - Steve Lamacq, BBC6 Music.

Protoje & The Indiggnation

Protoje & The Indiggnation appearing at this event

'There is an exciting resurgence of conscious, organic music in Jamaica and industry experts and fans alike agree that Protoje is among those at the forefront of the movement known as the ‘Reggae Revival.’ Leading the militant band - The Indiggnation - the powerful songwriter and philosophical thinker articulates the righteous anger of an emerging generation. Protoje reports for duty, re-establishing the standard for the decaying art of socially responsible, mentally stimulating lyricism.'
