One Dance UK Conference

Three Conferences. Two Days. One Venue.

One Dance UK's November 2017 conference season is an opportunity for dance professionals to come together, discuss, learn, refresh, up-skill and update themselves on current best practice and key considerations to enhance their professional development.
Each conference strand will provide rich networking opportunities and include a combination of key note presentations, discussion, practical workshops and research presentations to inspire, enrich and support professional and artistic practice.
Delegates can choose to attend one day or two, and from a combination of specialist sessions across all three strands.

Saturday 25th November - The Dance Teaching & Participation Conference is aimed at all those that teach dance, both within and outside of the formal education sectors, and those that manage or coordinate dance participation activties for children and young people. It will draw upon the work of leaders in dance education and youth dance settings to address what’s happening in dance teaching across England today.

Sunday 26th November - The Choreographers Conference welcomes choreographers at any stage of their career, from the widest range of working contexts including: film, commercial, contemporary, West End, opera, youth choreography, choreographic teaching and more. Attendees will gain unique insights from industry professionals that will help them optimise their career potential.
Sunday 26th November - The Healthier Dancer Conference is open to a wide range of delegates from dancers, choreographers, and teachers, to managers, healthcare practitioners and researchers and will focus on the psychological and sociological elements of care for the dancer, exploring topics such as how to recognise and care for the psychological impacts of injury.
